Bond Brothers and CompostNow are getting together to bring you our first Smash Don't Trash Event!

Smash Don’t Trash is a post-Halloween community event that empowers
community members to compost their pumpkins rather than sending them to landfills.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, most of the 1.3 billion pounds of
pumpkins produced in the U.S. end up in the landfill. These discarded pumpkins add
to the more than 254 million tons of municipal solid waste produced in the U.S. every
year.
● In 2019, three Smash Don’t Trash community events collectively diverted 3,869 lbs of
pumpkins from the landfill!
● All of the compost generated by these events are shared evenly among the local
Garden Partners of that area.
